First Church in Boston (fifth) is dedicated.
December 10, 1868
Architect: Ware & Van Brunt. Designed in the High Victorian style and called by some “the Westminster Abbey of Boston,” it is located at 66 Marlborough Street. The building is almost completely destroyed by a fire in 1968* and rebuilt (sixth) in 1970.
